Craig Rigney

DIRECTOR, INDEPENDENT

Craig Rigney is a proud Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna man and CEO of KWY Aboriginal Corporation. Craig is dedicated to eliminating all forms of violence against women and children and stemming the flow of Aboriginal children and families into the child protection systems.

Over 14 years, he has grown KWY from two staff to over 130, delivering culturally endorsed case management to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families across South Australia. Craig is a respected advocate, serving on national and state advisory councils focused on family violence and policy reform. In 2025, he received the Lord Mayor’s NAIDOC Award and led KWY to win Indigenous Business of the Year, recognising his leadership, commitment to community wellbeing, and dedication to mentoring future Aboriginal leaders.

“Addressing domestic, family, and sexual violence requires strong collaboration, informed research, and a deep connection to Community. I am proud to join the ANROWS Board to offer an Aboriginal cultural lens to this work and to help make research and outputs more accessible, practical, and user-friendly for the communities that need them most.”
