Our research

Violence against women and children affects everybody. It impacts on the health, wellbeing and safety of a significant proportion of Australians throughout all states and territories and places an enormous burden on the nation’s economy across family and community services, health and hospitals, income-support and criminal justice systems.

Connecting what matters: Children and young people with disability and their families share their views on how services can help when they experience domestic and family violence

A research summary bringing the voices of children and young people to the front of the conversation.  

This summary shares key findings from the ANROWS project, “Connecting the dots: Understanding the domestic and family violence experiences of children and young people with disability within and across sectors”.

It uses simple language and imagery and is designed to support all organisations working to deliver services to children and young people with disability where domestic and family violence may be present.

Share this effective tool to guide internal conversations with practitioners and policymakers or use it to support conversations with families.
