Our research

Violence against women and children affects everybody. It impacts on the health, wellbeing and safety of a significant proportion of Australians throughout all states and territories and places an enormous burden on the nation’s economy across family and community services, health and hospitals, income-support and criminal justice systems.

Conference wrap up!

This conference edition of Notepad offers an overview of our 2nd national research conference.  Some featured topics are:

  • Doing data: highlighting statistical gaps;
  • Key themes relating to family violence in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities;
  • Issues relating to family violence in priority populations; and 
  • Economic security and financial abuse.
