Our research

Violence against women and children affects everybody. It impacts on the health, wellbeing and safety of a significant proportion of Australians throughout all states and territories and places an enormous burden on the nation’s economy across family and community services, health and hospitals, income-support and criminal justice systems.

ANROWS was established by the Commonwealth and all state and territory governments of Australia to produce, disseminate and assist in applying evidence for policy and practice addressing violence against women and their children.



To support the take-up of evidence, ANROWS offers a range of resources developed from research to support practitioners and policy-makers in delivering evidence-based interventions.


Research Officer

ANROWS is seeking a Research Officer to join the Evidence Portal team. 

The Evidence Portal is a living online resource, capturing evidence on interventions to address and end violence against women. It is informed by a comprehensive systematic review of impact evaluations and systematic reviews. The Evidence Portal features a series of evidence maps that organise and display quantitative impact evaluations of violence against women interventions. The portal also includes Intervention Reviews which summarise the findings of these evaluations to estimate their effectiveness.

This position has flexible working conditions either full time or part time located at ANROWS National Office in Sydney CBD or working remotely, reporting to the Research Manager (Evidence Portal).
