It impacts on the health, wellbeing and safety of a significant proportion of Australians throughout all states and territories and places an enormous burden on the nation’s economy across family and community services, health and hospitals, income-support and criminal justice systems.

Media and Strategic Communications Specialist

ANROWS is seeking a Media and Strategic Communications Specialist with the skills required to undertake the role. This includes executing a media and communications strategy that builds ANROWS’s brand and profile as the authoritative voice on research relating to the prevention and reduction of violence against women.

The Media and Strategic Communications Specialist is primarily responsible for executing a media and communications strategy that builds ANROWS’s brand and profile as the authoritative voice on research relating to the prevention and reduction of violence against women. This will include developing media and social media campaigns to support the dissemination and take-up of research evidence from ANROWS’s research program, proactively identifying opportunities to build media engagement and the ANROWS brand, and increasing stakeholder engagement across our digital channels.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) reporting to the Director, Evidence to Action and is located at the ANROWS national office in Sydney. The appointment is for an initial period from commencement until 30 June 2027 with the option to extend, subject to continued funding, beyond that date.
